I wrote this story because I love dogs. That is one reason I put a dog in the story. I added a monkey because I wanted a second and different animal. I got inspired also from the book The Tortoise and The Hippo. They were both friends so I had the dog and the monkey be friends. The personality of the dog is based on my dog and how she acts.
